The inborn maternal instinct of the Beast-women moved them in search of the babies begot from the union between Beast-men and Fruit-women, and by them abandoned. If a Beast-woman found a kid she would have protected him and fed him with her own blood. The kids once grown up would have become clergymen. Sometimes the symbiosis between Beast-woman and kid was perfect and if so the power of the clergyman would have been great. Rarely the adoptive mother and the kid had the same Beast-head. These last were considered semi-gods.
